New friends, Frank, Leann, more new friends, Bette and Flash
About 6 years ago, we were invited to join friends at the Shell Oyster Bar for oysters in the morning, especially when the game is late afternoon or evening. And we got things organized for a visit this weekend. Many had good intentions, but only two of us (Frank and I) showed up.
A dozen each and BYOBM.
Now that's the way to start a gameday!
We decided for the pre-game tailgate, we'd order good Cuban food (in honor of the University of Miami visitors) from The Black Bean. We had Cuban sandwiches, empanadas, black beans and rice, sweet plantains along with Hurricane jello shots. Yummy!
It was a great tailgate and between us and the Glazers, there were about 35 people that visited! And we couldn't have asked for better weather!

Hurricane Jello shots!
With the May Family and Fitz who drove up from Tampa for the game!
Wrapped things up with the tailgate and got into the stadium just in time to see the jumpers in action!

Our first fly-over of the season!
Renegade and Chief Osceola
Planting the Spear!
Thankfully the game is based only on the final score, because the statistics for the Noles were awful! But a win is a win.
No pictures to show for the post game festivities at the Tailgate Compound. The Glazers hosted a yummy pasta dinner for everyone that came back. Also, Ray and his family all came over and I had fun playing games with the granddaughters, while staying warm in my snuggie! :o)
It was a fantastic football weekend! Thanks to all who made the trek to the RV lot to spend time together!
