It goes without saying, this is probably the longest I've gone without updating the blog. Here it is the twenty-fourth of January and there hasn't been a thing! Zip, zilch, nada, nunca, not one darn thing posted.
I was merely thinking of you, our loyal followers.
Perhaps I was wrong, but I didn't think you'd be interested in the details of chores involved with returning home after having been on the road for the better part of 4 months. I doubted any of you would care that we had to find room for the clothes and such that we had on the coach while we were traveling. It didn't cross my mind that you would give a hoot about needing to pack up all the bills/statements/receipts from 2011 to make room for the 2012 edition. And I didn't think anyone would care that closets, cabinets and cupboards were emptied, cleaned and decluttered. Then there's grocery shopping and cleaning the gutters. Just didn't think you'd really give a hoot.
We did take the motorhome to the Tampa RV show, but since we live about 20 minutes away, we opted not to spend the nights on the coach. We were going to take it to Tallahassee for a few basketball games, but since several of our friends weren't going to be there, and because we were waiting on some work to be done to the motorhome, we decided to sell the tickets and stay in Tampa.
Oh another thing I didn't think you'd be too interested in knowing was that we took the boat to Stuart. But we didn't put it in the water nor have we had a chance to fish. They are dredging the canal behind the condo, the weather hasn't been that cooperative for fishing and we had several appointments in Tampa. (Another thing you probably didn't care about.)
So while our moniker may be 'The Crazy Travelers', it's not all sitting around eating bon-bons and watching Oprah (if she were still on) when we are home. We have the same responsibilities as many other adults.
For anyone who was holding their breath waiting for a post....now you can breathe. :o)
