Another successful football weekend!

We left The TeePee in Tallahassee and returned to Tampa to take care of a few things.  But there was another home game in Tallahassee this weekend.

For this game, we selected a different spot in the RV lot for The TeePee.  Everything went very smoothly and we were set up relatively quickly.  (I think we're starting to get the hang of this!)

Friday evening, we attended a fundraising event for the Women's Scholarship Endowment.  What a fun, well-organized "auction-and-appetizers" event!  We saw so many people we met on the cruise as well as several people we've known from bi-coastal Booster events we attend.

Normally, I'm the tall one in the crowd, but not with these Seminole basketball players, Kiel Turpin (6'11") and Michael Snaer (6'5") around!

Scene from the auction.

Sadly, we didn't win any of the live auction items, nor the balloon prizes (that the guys guaranteed we would), but we did end up with a few nice items from the silent auction.

Unconquered statue and the full moon.

Saturday morning!  Game Day!  And kickoff wasn't until 6:00pm.  We were thrilled how many fun friends came all the way to the RV lot to do a little tailgating at the TeePee!

What better way to enjoy the day than watching Game Day with a Bloody Mary (including a "Fear the celery Spear").

Flash and Frank

The Scherf family, along with Cindee and Sarah from the Boosters.

Then the Astors arrived!  Nolen and Alden are only a few months apart and both boys are "Seminole by birth".

It was fun to have the little Noles around (and the big ones too)!

The Clarkes came all the way from Charleston for the game and met up with their friends from Bradenton.

The TeePee makes tailgating SOOOO much easier!

Watching the team warm up, waiting for kickoff.

Cousin Mary's son, Sidney, now a Marching Chief.

Planting the Spear

The Marching Chiefs performed a wonderful half-time show.  Not all fancy and showy kind of wonderful, but perfect music for remembering the anniversary of 9-11, appreciating the freedoms we have as Americans and honoring those who have sacrificed so much while serving and protecting our country.

James Wilder, Jr!  (From my alma mater, Plant.)
What an amazing first game as a Seminole!  Glad they didn't red-shirt him...the Noles can use him now!

A bit of a lopsided win, but the game gave so many opportunities to second and third string players.
Full moon over Doak

Another successful football weekend, for the Crazy Travelers and the Seminoles!
