FSU vs Boston College - Day 3.5

The whole reason we came to Boston was for the football game Thursday evening against Boston College.  In past years, we have stayed closer to the school, near Chestnut Hill, but this time we decided to stay at the Booster-organized hotel in the city.

No worries, they had arranged for buses to shuttle everyone out and back.   The weather was expected to be chilly for the game.

Seminoles begin adding the anti-freeze.  :o)

Ray, Frank, Bonnie, Ronnie, Bonnie and Leann
ready for the game!

Nole Ladies!

While we were in the North End, we visited Monica's (from our food tour) and had them make up some subs for our tailgate.   Once we got off the bus, we found a spot we could spread out and enjoy our sandwiches and beverages.

The Boston College Eagles have the same colors as FSU.  They are a much smaller school and it seemed we had as many (or more) fans in the stands than they did.

Oops!  Dustin Hopkins kick went over the net and hit their jumbotron.
(See the black mark on the lower left of the screen?)

Because some schools immediately turn out the scoreboard when they lose, I needed to snap a picture a few seconds in advance.

It was a great win for the Seminoles and with it came a guarantee for a bowl game.
There was a lot of skepticism about how the guys would do on such short turn around for a Thursday night, away game.  But they did it!

Seminole fans traveled exceptionally well for this game, as they have for the other away games this season!

Now to return home and get ready for UM in Tallahassee.
