This time last year, we were on board the Nauti Nole with Tom, Raquel, Ray & Lily enjoying all the Gasparilla festivities. There was casual chatter about all of us visiting Panama when Tom & Raquel were going to be there. Well, here it is, Gasparilla 2009 and we're leaving for Panama on Sunday! (The neighbors, Ray, Lily, Ken and Victoria will join us in a few weeks.)
We are looking forward to the trip! It is our first time in Panama, but have our trusty Spanish translation book. And we will be in very capable hands. Raquel was born and raised in Panama and still has family living there. They have invited us to join them on a search for a vacation home for their family while exploring Panama at the same time. (Sound like HGTV's House Hunters International?) We are looking forward to seeing Panama City, El Valle, Santa Clara Beach and Boquete.
We'll return to Panama City to greet the neighbors, spend a few days in the city and then pack into the mini-van and off to Boca Chica for a week of FISHING at the Gone Fishing Panama Resort!
We hope to post pictures and stories as often as possible, so stay tuned.
