Andrea's Celebration Weekend!

On June 19th, college-life as she knew it came to an end for Andrea. And while she isn't planning to walk during the graduation ceremony, we're considering her an FSU Graduate! She's got some amazing adventures ahead of her which you can read about on her blog.

To celebrate, she wanted to have a graduation-birthday party weekend in Boone, with an old-fashioned fish fry, reminiscent of the ones her mother's family used to have in Pensacola. And so the fun began when Andrea and Allison arrived on Wednesday, July 1st.
We wanted to let all who drove by know of Andrea's accomplishments.
Dinner at Casa Rustica with family and friends.
Richard and Nan came up from Florida for the festivities.
J.B., Allison and Andrea are ready for the party to get started.
Sisters, Allison and Andrea.
Brothers, Frank and Richard are in charge of the fish-fry. We brought about 35-40 pounds of mahi mahi that we caught this spring in Stuart. In addition, they fried up a huge batch of 'secret family recipe' hush puppies! And yes, the party was on July 4th so Frank's wearing his festive cooking attire.

Twilight performance by Will, Mattie, Mary-Alice and Celeste. They had so much fun climbing the steps to the 'stage'. Good thing there wasn't a hammock there....they would have been flying across the deck!
Fortunately we were a few short of 22 candles for Andrea to blow out.
