First game of the new era for Florida State football!

Today was a long time coming!

Back in April, we got a sneak peek at the new Seminole football team and coaches.  Since then, everyone has been looking forward to the start of football season - How was Jimbo as the new Head Coach going to do?  How about all those new coaches he hired?  What about all the new recruits?   We wanted to see action!

Friday night we met up with the Usual Suspects for Down Town Get Down.  It was great catching up with everyone!

Since it was a noon game, there wasn't much enthusiasm for tailgating.  (Which worked out just fine for us and strolled around the parking lot visiting with friends.)

We did 'trunk-gate' at the Scherf's.  :o)

The Loubiers - Dan, Ashley, and Danielle

The Villellas - Lynne, Emmy, Ron and Sarah

Frank, Leann, my cousin Mary and her son, Sidney
(Mary is an FSU grad and was Assn't Drum Major.)

Lots of fun with FSU friends!

There was pre-game flyover. Four CH53-E Super Stallion Marine Corps helicopters from HMH-464, Camp Lejune, North Carolina:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cfR3d3RGsUo

Chief Osceola and Renegade
Head Coach - Jimbo!  He was next to the action the whole game - congrats when good plays were made, but gave the 'business' when something was done wrong.  (Fortunately that didn't happen too often.)

And the team looked great!  (A few oops, but nothing like last season.)  A big win for the "new" Seminoles!
