Time in Lake George (Part 3 of 3)

After our trip to Gull Pond, we ventured to Mt. Defiance with our ultimate destination being Ft. Ticonderoga.

Not only did we get to experience some beautiful scenery, we also got a bit of a history lesson too.

Lots of 'characters' at Ft. Ticonderoga:

Entrance to the Fort.

Soldier cutlery.

Everyday china.

Medical and surgery supplies.

Soldier barracks.  From the jackets on the bedposts, it looks like 4 men to a bed.  Cozy!
Courtyard at the Fort.

"Someone" needs to go on a diet....and learn to read!

Fife and Drum Corps

After our historical adventures, Roger suggested a tour of Lake George by boat.  Great idea!

Motley crew.

If you double click on the picture to enlarge, you'll see two climbers.  No thank you!

Just where he wants to be....on a boat on the water!

Thanks Roger and Melissa for sharing your piece of paradise and hosting all of us for the weekend!
