"Bay to Bay"

Apologies for the delay in posting.  Technical difficulties have prevented timely updates on our "Bay to Bay" trip.  (From Tampa Bay to San Francisco Bay, that is.)

Here are a few pictures from the first two days in San Fran with Frank's daughters, Allison and Andrea:

The TransAmerica building

Even the shrubs are shaped like the building!

A great Saturday Farmer's Market along the front and back of the building.
Many beautiful flowers, plants, and yummy foods!

Visiting Andrea at her job in the Ferry Building.

Throughout the day and around the city, we would see large groups of Santas.  Finally catching up with a portion of them we learned they are part of an organized group that coordinates pub crawls in cities across the world during December - SantaCon.  Looked like they had a lot of fun!

Check out the locations.  There may be an event near you!

Saturday evening we were invited to visit Andrea's other job at Rosenblum Cellars in Alameda.  And to get there, we needed to take the ferry.

Huge full moon over the bay

Rosenblum Cellars was the first 'urban winery'.

Charming garden area outside the winery.

There was a member event just before we arrived and they were transforming the space for a private party.

Dinner at Chaya
Leann, Frank, Kelly (Andrea's bestest friend from Tampa now living in SF),
Adam (Andrea's boyfriend) Andrea, and Allison.

It has been so nice spending time with the girls and their friends!  The weather as been chilly, but sunny (which I will take any time over chilly and rainy).  :)   More exploring of San Francisco with our locals to follow.
