Day 10 - "Leaving Las Vegas"

One of the beauties of not pre-paying for most of our accommodations and excursions (like we have done when we've traveled abroad),  we decided to leave Las Vegas a day early and head directly for Bryce Canyon.  (Be sure to click on the picture to enlarge.)

Here are scenes from the trip north:

As we got closer to Zion National Park, I decided this looked like OZ (as in Emerald City in the Wizard of OZ).

Never a straight path around the mountain.

The TeePee would not have fit in this tunnel!

"Oh give me a home, where the buffalo roam...."

Cow with funny curved horns.

Approaching Red Canyon and Bryce Canyon:

Red Canyon and Bryce Canyon are so spectacular (in my humble opinion) they deserve a separate post.
