Day 12 - Six hours and three states

Former Tampa neighbors, Amy and Michael, moved to Salt Lake City recently.  They are avid outdoorsy folks (camping, hiking, skiing, etc) and have been a wealth of information when it comes to 'must-see-eat-and-do' opportunities while we've been on our Wild West trip.

Amy suggested we take a particular route to Jackson, WY that would include a very scenic tour around Bear Lake (including a stop for the area's world-famous raspberry shakes).

Here are some pictures (be sure to click to enlarge) from our travels through Utah, Idaho and Wyoming:

This was a slow-going (and odoriferous) part of the drive.
(Three trucks hauling cattle.)

(with the oh-so-yummy raspberry shakes)

After enjoying our raspberry shake, we returned to the road and began to get glimpses of Bear Lake.

Now we are in Idaho!

Potato farm perhaps?  After all, we are in Idaho.

A short drive through Idaho and we cross the border into Wyoming.

Views of the Grand Teton mountain range start coming into view.

This arch is made completely of antlers!

As mentioned previously, the weather we've experienced has been terrific!  Now that we are in Jackson, the nights are cold but the days are very sunny and although the temperatures don't get out of the the 60's, it is pleasantly warm.  We are looking forward to exploring all that Jackson, Wyoming has to offer!
