For the past month, since listing the house in the mountains for sale with a different realtor, there has been a lot of traffic and we've been pleased with the number of times it's been shown. But now we're ready for someone, maybe a young family or a retired couple perhaps, to make a commitment in the way of an offer!
There's a lot of work that goes into getting the house ready to show: it's not just the tidying up the inside, leaf blowing and spiderweb removal outside, but then making sure everything is in PERFECT order, including hanging up the good towels, putting pillows on the outdoor furniture, setting the table, having homemade goodies out for the prospective buyers, etc. - all of this several times a week and in some cases without much notice. So, we are hoping our efforts will pay off!
We've had a chance to spend time with friends playing cocktail golf a few afternoons. This week, I was invited to join our friend Bonnie as her guest for golf one day. My contributions to the round were less than spectacular, but the weather was nice and we enjoyed a delicious Cuban themed lunch complete with the most amazing chilled Mojito Soup I've ever tasted!
Bonnie, Leann, Donna and Teena
The weather has been quite warm and often times there are heavy rainstorms in the afternoon and evening.
We are looking forward to next week when we venture north to Maine and then Ticonderoga, NY. Stay tuned for updates on that adventure.
So there you have it. That's what we've been up to.
