Stonewall Kitchen Cooking School

While researching things to do while we were in Maine, I happened upon the Stonewall Kitchen Cooking School and their calendar of events.   Given our 'history' and enjoyment of food, we thought this would be the perfect way to enjoy a dinner.
The Stonewall Kitchen store and cooking school is on a lovely piece of land and very easy to get to.  We weren't very familiar with SWK (as it is affectionately abbreviated) other than seeing or having had some of their jams and marinades.  We took a quick spin through the Store and it was reminiscent of being in a Williams&Sonoma store.

Upon entering the Cooking School, it was just like being "home".  The set up was similar to the other cooking school/demonstration venues we've been to.  This was going to be a demonstration dinner with a menu that sounded scrumptious!

*Maine Lobster Cobb Salad
*Pan-seared duck breast with roasted turnips and peaches in a broubon sauce
*Baked Maine Alaskas

A meal in itself!
Yummy!

Chef Brad Miller "torching" the dessert.

While we didn't get to help with the preparations, we did enjoy the eating part!

It was a nice way to spend the evening, enjoy some tasty food and learn more about the foods of the area.
